Rating wars

Ratings applications are at war

Ratings wars are out of control. I’m regularly asked to review venues and I’m quite active but recently it’s gotten out of control. Google firstly tracks me so they ask for a rating. If I booked via booking.com then they request feedback too. The same from trip advisor if i happened to search or book via them . Finally the venue itself asks for feedback. And I have two phones so I’ve got that as an added complication. There is a huge duplication of feedback provision. And being consistent is tough. Google allows you to rate and submit but with trip advisor you need to log in first on a profile. How do we get to a single version of the truth? Why cant we have just the one source? Are we starting to obsess on feedback. Are we competing on who has better ratings information? And what are we doing with all of this data? This is starting to feel very broken!!
