5 G or 6 G

Forget 5 G or 6 G

Forget 5 G or 6 G. 6 GHz will rule. That’s the new WiFi standard. Here is an extract from the latest promotion of the WiFi congress in San Francisco

1. In many markets Wi-Fi carries 80+% of mobile traffic?

2. Estimated economic value of Wi-Fi exceeds $2 trillion?

3. New 6 GHz spectrum could more than TRIPLE existing Wi-Fi operating bands in the US?

4. More than 10 billion Wi-Fi devices are in operation?

5. Wi-Fi 6 is ramping up faster than any previous standard?

So actually mobile traffic is the minuscule glue that we use between WiFi hotspots. The exception rather than the norm. That’s not exactly a compelling proposition is it.
